Paddy Marketing Board to recommence paddy purchasing

The Paddy Marketing Board is to yet again commence purchases of paddy.

The decision was taken during a meeting at the Agriculture Ministry today (11).

Minister of Agriculture – Mahinda Amaraweera has said that according to the price decided by a committee, 

 

steps will be taken to buy a kilo of Nadu and Keeri Samba paddy at Rs. 95 and Rs. 110 respectively.

Also, the Minister said that purchases will be made according to the money received from the government for the purpose.
