Cabinet nod to issue Investment, Employment and CPC Resident Visas to foreigners at Port City

The Cabinet of Ministers has granted the approval to issue three types of visas to investors and service providers at the Colombo Port City, the Department of Government Information (DGI) says. 

Accordingly, plans are afoot to introduce the following categories of visas:
 

• Investment visa for investors under the residential visa category
• Employment visa for employees
• CPC Residential Property Lease Vendor visa category for foreigners who reside within the Colombo Port City on lease

The proposal was tabled by Minister of Public Security, Tiran Alles at the Cabinet meeting held on Monday (Dec 19) to take measures required for introducing the aforesaid categories of visa.
