COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lankan government has decided to import 100,000 MT of Ponni samba to the country. In a statement, the Food Commissioners Department of Sri Lanka said tenders will be called for from local importers. The statement added that the 100,000 MT of Ponni Samba will be placed as a buffer stock.
