16 Covid-19 patients from other districts

Sixteen Covid-19 cases reported from multiple districts in the country, apart from areas where quarantine curfew has been imposed, Army Commander - Lt. Gen. Shavendra Silva said.

He said that Covid-19 cases have been reported from the districts of Matale, Ampara, Badulla, Anuradhapura, Kurunegala and Moneragala.

The Army Commander emphasised that it is the social responsibility of all Sri Lankan citizens to ensure that they do not get infected and to strictly follow health guidelines.

He has also said that around 200 employees at the Minuwangoda apparel factory are scheduled to be either hospitalized or quarantined today (Oct. 08).
