General election likely in late April

Chairman of the Elections Commission, Mahinda Deshapriya, has said that the General election could be held at the end of April next year if Parliament is dissolved at the beginning of March.

 Deshapriya said that the next Parliamentary elections can be held on either 25, 26 or 27 April if Parliament is dissolved as the month of March commences.
Deshapriya made these remarks while addressing the media yesterday (04).
