The Sri Lanka Cricket Board has wanted the Sri Lanka Cricket Team Coach Chandima Hathurusinghe to resign from his post and it is said that he has again focused his attention on regaining his position as the Coach of the Bangladesh Cricket team.
Currently, it is said that four nominations have been received for the post of Head Coach of the team and Hathurusinghe is most likely to receive the position.
According to reliable sources, several of the Bangladesh Cricket Board members are in favour of Hathurusinghe being appointed as the Head Coach and they are said to have discussed the matter with him.
Previously the Bangladesh Cricket Board had focused attention on Grant Flower, Paul Farbrace, Mike Hesson and Russell Domingo.
Hathurusinghe had worked as the Head Coach of th Bangladesh Team from 2014 to 2017 and during that period the Bangladesh team had won 25 of the 50 ODIs they had played, 5 of the 17 test matches and 10 out of the 29
Twenty20 matches.
