Amaraweera warns SLFP members who attended SLPP convention

The General Secretary of the UPFA Mahinda Amaraweera stated that none of the SLFP members had been permitted to attend the SLPP convention.

He said that all the SLFP members who had attended the SLPP convention last Sunday (11) would be brought before the SLFP Central Committee, which would convene shortly.


However, he said the party had yet not decided what action would be taken against the SLFP members who attended the SLPP convention.

Many of the SLFP prominent members were seen seated in the front row seats at the SLPP maiden convention held last Sunday where they formally announced their presidential candidate to be Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
