COLOMBO (News1st): The one-day-service for issuing National Identity cards (NIC’s) has been temporarily suspended due to a system crash. Commissioner-General of the Department of Registration of Persons, Viyani Gunathilaka said that urgent measures are being taken to restore the system. A special team has also been deployed for the purpose.
