Drones will be shot

Air Force Media Spokesman Group Captain Gihan Seneviratne stated that the drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles will be prohibited in Sri Lankan air space.
He further stated operating drones is a threat to national security and missions on national security.
As nothing can be taken lightly in the current situation they will be compelled to shoot the drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles which are operated violating the law , he added.

Even under such conditions two drones were operated recently in Kankasanthure and Narahenpita, which were shot by armed forces and the Police. However, they have managed to escape.
