Minister of Power and Energy Ravi Karunanayaka said that the power supply Islandwide will not be interrupted from April 10 onwards.
He said that the people would not have to face an electricity crisis such as this in future although there was a need to use electricity sparingly for the next three to four months just to be sure.
He begged the forgiveness of the citizenry for any inconvenience caused to them as a result of the power cuts that were imposed throughout the country during the last few weeks.
He stated that the domestic supply of electricity would return to normal within the next 24 hours while the total demand for power in the industrial sector will be supplied within the next two weeks.
