Coin counter in Central Bank!

The Central Bank has decided to set up a special counter for the issuance of coins to the public.

This counter will be installed at the ground floor of the Central Bank Headquarters premises at Janadhipathi Mawatha in Colombo.

The card is to be launched tomorrow (27) and it will be open for the public from 9.00 am to 11.00 am on Wednesdays and Thursdays except on public and bank holidays.
One person can obtain is coin packets worth less than Rs. 20,000 per instance and single packet contains one hundred coins.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has provided the facility to purchase coins by handing over an application form to the Currency Management of the Central Bank, two business days in advance.
