Police fires tear gas and water cannons to disperse protestors

COLOMBO (News 1st) – Police have fired tear gas and water cannons to disperse a group of protesting Higher National Diploma students in Colombo. The Lotus road in Colombo has been temporarily closed as a result of the protest. Heavy traffic congestion has also been reported in the area. More to follow…
