Basil Rajapaksa, the mastermind behind the SLPP, has become worried due to the conduct of certain members of the joint opposition and the retired military officers who support Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, a top figure in the party told Sri Lanka Mirror.
As a result, Basil will now extend his short vacation in the US early next month to more than three months.
The SLPP top figure was responding to a claim by MP Keheliya Rambukwella that the party has suffered a setback after the local government polls in February.
Addressing LG bodies’ members of the SLPP in Kandy, Rambukwella also said there was trouble when appointing chairmen, deputy chairmen and appointed members.
